New hairstyle

A few days ago I went to the hairdresser to cut my hair into something new and fresh (it was really necessary, believe me!).
I really love my new haircut and I allready received lots of positive reactions on it! It is more fashionable and it gives my face more personality. The only negative side of it is that it takes more time to style it in the morning...

Rouen, the city of Jeanne d'Arc.

At the moment I am writing this message from the romantic old city Rouen in France, where I am staying 3 days in a beautiful hotel named Hotel De Bourgtheroulde. This historical hotel is situated in de centre of the city and is really a present for the eye. The hotel is a monument on his own and has a long history to tell.

Rouen is the historic capital city of Normandy, in northern France on the River Seine. Once one of the largest and most prosperous cities of medieval Europe, Rouen was the seat of the Exchequer of Normandy in the Middle Ages. It was in Rouen where Joan of Arc was burnt in 1431.

There are a lot of things to see in Rouen, for example the Notre Dame cathedral with his Butter Tower, the Gros Horloge and the Tour Jeanne d'Arc. But the most important sights of the city are probably the many surviving half-timbered buildings.

Two days of Amsterdam

I just arrived back at home from two days shopping in Amsterdam. It was very lovely discovering the romantic canals and cute little houses of Amsterdam. Unfortunately the weather was less nice due to the rain. But the shopping made this all up! I bought a lovely two tier cake stand for my cupcakes - which I will bake again soon - and lots of other stuff.

I ♥ Amsterdam!
